Under the Sikhya Kranti Punjab campaign, significant developmental works were carried out today in Bathinda Rural constituency. Advocate Hardeep Singh Sra (Chairman, District Planning Board, Bathinda) inaugurated newly constructed facilities in various government schools across different villages.
During the visit, modern classrooms constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 7.5 lakh were dedicated to the public at the Government Primary School in village Gehri Buttar. Similarly, newly built classrooms worth around Rs 17 lakh were inaugurated at the Government Primary School in village Chak Ruldu Singh Wala, providing students with a more comfortable and modern learning environment.
On this occasion, a newly established computer lab costing approximately Rs 9.65 lakh was also inaugurated at the Government Senior Secondary School in village Mehta. This initiative is expected to strengthen digital education and enhance students’ technical skills.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Sra stated that the Punjab Government is fully committed to improving the infrastructure of government schools and ensuring quality education for students. Continuous efforts are being made to transform government schools in Punjab into model institutions across the country, and the government remains dedicated to the mission of educational revolution.
He further emphasized that such developmental works will not only brighten the future of students but also strengthen public trust in government schools. The Sikhya Kranti campaign is being implemented effectively at the grassroots level to bring meaningful change in the education sector.
On this occasion, Harmander Singh Brar (Retd. BPEO), Education Coordinator Malwa West Zone; Jaswinder Singh Nandgarh (In-charge, Bathinda Rural); Jaswant Singh (Constituency Education Coordinator); along with other dignitaries, school heads Gurbaksh Singh and Kulwinder Kaur, teaching staff, students, School Management Committee members, Gram Panchayat representatives, villagers, and party workers were present in large numbers.
Speakers at the event highlighted that such investments in education will lay a strong foundation for future generations and play a crucial role in taking Punjab further on the path of progress.
