Chandigarh, April 21, 2026:Punjab is likely to experience extended power cuts over the coming days, with outages expected to last between 8 to 10 hours in several parts of the state.
As per information, power disruptions may be enforced from April 21 to April 28 due to rising electricity demand during the summer season. Major cities including Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Bathinda and Patiala, are expected to be affected by the scheduled outages.
The surge in electricity consumption, driven by increasing temperatures, has put significant pressure on the power supply system. As a result, load management measures, including prolonged power cuts, may be implemented.
Residents and businesses have been advised to prepare for possible disruptions as authorities work to balance supply and demand during the peak summer period.
