MP Satnam Singh Sandhu Pays Tribute to Maharana Pratap, says Immortal Warrior’s Unmatched Courage & Unyielding Spirit Continues to Inspire Generations

SBS Nagar (Punjab), May 10, 2026: Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria along with Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Satnam Singh Sandhu participated in Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebration organised by Rajput Sabha Balachaur at the sacred town of Balachaur, the abode of Rajput King Baba Balraj in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab.
Besides Punjab Governor Kataria and MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, this grand celebration of Maharana Pratap’s 486th birth anniversary was also attended by dignitaries including MLA (Balachaur), Santosh Kataria, BJP District President for Balachaur, Rajwinder Singh Lucky, Rajput Sabha Balachaur President Bhupinder Singh Rana, Patron of Rajput Sabha Balachaur Rana Subhash Singh and Chairman of Baba Balraj Temple, Rana Jagdish Singh.
During the Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebration, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu also flagged off a Shobha Yatra which passed through different parts of the town. The Rajput Sabha also honoured the Punjab Governor and MP Sandhu on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said the grand celebration of
the legendary 16th-century Rajput warrior king is a befitting tribute to the indomitable courage, spirit of sacrifice, and self-respect of the 'Crown Jewel of Valor,' Maharana Pratap.
“Maharana Pratap is not only a historical figure but a reference point for courage, identity, and self-respect in India’s collective memory. He remains a symbol of medieval India’s most defining resistance against Mughal Empire. Maharana Pratap’s leadership was rooted in conviction rather than convenience. The courage and valor Maharana Pratap displayed in defending the honor of the motherland continues to serve as a guiding light for our nation. The story of his valiant life, dedicated to motherland continues to inspire the countrymen even today and it will continue to forever inspire India’s future generations for showing resilience in adversity and standing firm on principles even under pressure.”.
