New York, October 15, 2025: New York City just made history by dedicating Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Way at the intersection of 114th St & 101st Ave in Queens — the FIRST place outside India to honour the Ninth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji with a street name.
According to a post by The Kalgidhar Trust, this isn’t just a street sign. It’s a tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Protector of Faith, who sacrificed everything for the cause of religious freedom, human rights, and justice. His legacy of courage and compassion lights the way for us all.
It called upon people to join in celebrating this decisive moment of unity, diversity, and respect for the Sikh community’s contributions to NYC and the world.
