Rahul Gandhi meets Indian Overseas Congress Europe Convener Daljit Singh Sahota in Germany

Germany, December 22, 2025: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on a visit to Germany, met Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Europe Convener Daljit Singh Sahota and held wide-ranging discussions on key political and social issues.
During the interaction, Sahota accompanied Rahul Gandhi throughout his visit, during which several leaders and members of the Indian community were also met. Addressing IOC leaders, Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence that the Congress would form the government in Punjab in 2027 with the active support of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
In a statement issued by the Congress, it was said that Rahul Gandhi also addressed the Indian community at the “Connecting Cultures” programme organised by the Indian Overseas Congress. The event highlighted strong cultural ties and meaningful engagement with Indians living abroad.
The statement added that discussions during the programme focused on the current situation in India and Punjab, along with the role of the overseas Indian community in strengthening democratic values.
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included Sam Pitroda, Dr Aarti Krishna, Parmod, Rajvinder, Balvinder Singh and several other Indian Overseas Congress leaders.
