Swadeshi Jagran Manch lanuches signature campaign to boycott Chinese products
Chandigarh, August 12, 2017: Swadeshi Jagran Manch launched a signature campaign against Chinese products here on Sunday.
The campaign led, by Swadeshi Suraksha Abhiyaan convenors Deepak Batra and BJP ex-councilor Surabh Joshi, appealed to the city residents to boycott products made in China. A huge wall was set-up in the middle of the Sector-17 Plaza wherein people put their signatures in support of the campaign.
RSS Seh-Prant Karyavaah Munishwar and Amrit Sagar and Uttar Kshetra Sangathan Mantri Sehkar Bharti were present on the occasion.
They said that while China is dumping its products in India and strengthening its economy, it is at the same time involved in a border standoff with India. China had harmed Indian interests on various issues including terrorism and supporting Pakistan, they said.
Batra and Joshi appealed to the people that China can be taught a lesson by boycotting its products. They said that the Swadeshi Jagran Manch has started many such campaigns against Chinese products throughout the country.
Joshi said that similar campaigns have been undertaken in Chandigarh from August 8 where different programs have been carried out in schools, colleges and various localities and people are being made aware of the harms of using Chinese products.
The campaign will end on August 20 at Ramlila Ground in Sector-27 where a huge rally will be organized. The event will be attended by national leaders, he added.
