New Delhi, April 23, 2018: Convinced that final solution for their problems is possible through political empowerment, as many as 50 alumni of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have quit their jobs to form a political party.
A Times of India report said that this group of IITians were waiting for the approval of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for their proposed Bahujan Azad Party. Under its banner, they will fight for the rights of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
The group plans to contest Bihar assembly polls due in 2020 and the next Lok Sabha polls, added the report.
