Ferozepur, December 12, 2017: The Bharti Kissan Union Ekta Sidhpur has threatened to organize the massive protest on December 15 in protest against the forcible possession of land by the political persons in connivance with the district administration at village Jhoke Hari Har.
Addressing the protesters, Jagjit Singh Dhelewala, President BKU Ekta Sidhpur said, the farmers - Malkit Singh foji, Balbir Singh, Surjit Singh, Davinder Singh, Darbara Singh are cultivating the disputed land of a temple since long.
He further said at the time of paddy harvesting, Narinder Kumar, Naib Tehsildar under the political influence had transferred the disputed land in the name of relatives of local MLA.
He further said the SDM, instead of giving justice to the aggrieved farmers, Section 145 was imposed restraining both the parties for entering the landed property under dispute when 206 acres of land belongs to the temple which is under the possession of Akali and Congress but no action has been initiated.
Demanding justice for the farmers, the BKU has threatened for the massive protest on December 15 in case the girdawri is not transferred in the name of farmers.
When talked to SDM Harjit Singh Sandhu, he said, both the parties are wrong for making a claim over the disputed land and keeping in view of the dispute of the land, Section 145 has been imposed to avoid any untoward incident.
