Fatehgarh Sahib, November 14, 2017: Sadhu Singh Dharmsot Minister for forest, while presiding over the meeting of district officials to review the ongoing projects here today warned that all those officials and beneficiaries will be taken to task, who sanctioned and those who received various type of pensions, blue cards, ration cards without eligibility and neglected the eligible. He said that during enquiry of Atta Dal Scheme beneficaries out of 77553 beneficaries 8210 were found inilegible and now 2348 new ration cards have been made. He said the verification of 44410 various type of pension beneficaries has been completed and 1210 were found ineligible and 1480 new beneficaries were added. He directed the officials to identify all those homeless without any caste or creed, so that 5 marla plots could be given to them.
Latter the Minister, while talking to media persons here today expressed ignorance about the reason behind the transfer of Additional Chief Secretary Forest DP Reddy and said CM must have taken the decision in the interest of the department. When asked whether his reshuffling with Satish Chandra is related to clearances of some files of Sukhvilas resort of Sukhbir Badal, he said that some irregularities in granting clearance to Sukhvilas has come to his notice and he has marked an enquiry, if anything find wrong " Sukhvilas" will be converted into " Dukhvilas". He said CM has clear instructions and zero tolerance for corrupt practices. He said if any official found in granting permission out of way will be taken to task, whosoever he may be.
He said that more than 8500 Acre of forest land has been encroached by private people with the help of the then ruling party politicians and officials and he has unearthed the nexus and has taken back the possession 85 Acre of land in Ludhiana and soon the possession of 400 Acre will be taken in Ludhiana. He said after Ludhiana the possession will be taken in Ferozepur and followed by other districts.
He claimed that his department unearthed the scam more than Rs.600 Crore in the distribution of SC scholarship by the private institutions in collaboration with officers. He said by 31st December he will get the audit report and the action will be taken against all the erring institutes as well the officials. He said some of the institutes have deposited worth Rs.58 Crore with Govt, from this scam money and he has ordered FIRs against two institutes whose audit has been completed.
Kuljeet Singh Nagra, Kaka Randeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh GP all MLAs raised the issues related to their areas and the Minister directed the DC to get their problems redressed.
