The trajectory places the institution in a competitive cohort with premier universities on the strength of academics, research, placements, industry alignment, and global engagement.
In discipline-wise rankings, Chandigarh University stood 31st in Engineering, 32nd in Management, 15th in Pharmacy, and 14th in Architecture. Making its debut in the Research category, the university secured 34th rank among institutions nationwide and ranked 1st among private universities in North India in research, underscoring its focus on innovation and R&D outcomes.
Celebrating the results, senior managing director Deep Inder Singh Sandhu said the performance validates the university’s investments in faculty, infrastructure, and research ecosystems, adding that the 19th rank affirms academic quality, placement outcomes, and an innovation-driven culture. He noted that the gains in the Research category reflect a deliberate push to build a robust, discovery-led academic environment.
Sandhu added that NIRF’s rigorous parameters—spanning teaching–learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception—help institutions benchmark quality against national norms. He emphasized the university’s commitment to accessible, industry-oriented education that prepares future-ready talent while remaining true to its values of affordability and inclusion.
