Earlier, in view of the looming threat of water-borne and vector-borne diseases in the areas hit by devastating floods in Punjab, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chancellor of Chandigarh University Satnam Singh Sandhu facilitated fogging and distributed essential medical supplies including mosquito nets and repellents to prevent outbreak of infectious diseases in the flood affected border villages in Ferozepur district.
Under this Programme, Sandhu distributed essential medical items including First-aid kits, mosquito nets and replants, bed sheets and sanitary pads at the flood affected villages.
