Chandigarh, August 30, 2025: The Bhog and Antim Ardaas ceremony for the late Dr. Jaswinder Singh Bhalla is being held today at Gurdwara Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34C, Chandigarh.
With deep sorrow and reverence, people attended the Bhog and Antim Ardaas ceremony of popular actor and comedian Dr. Jaswinder Singh Bhalla, who passed away on August 22. The ceremony included prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul through Shri Sehaj Paath Sahib.
The event was marked by the presence of several well-known figures from literature, entertainment, politics, and academia.
Among those in attendance were author Bal Mukund Sharma, lyricist Alap Sikandar, poet Jarnail Ghuman, singer Amar Noorie, lyricist Shamsher Sandhu, writer Babu Singh Mann, and actors Guggu Gill, Binnu Dhillon and Seema Kaushal. Renowned personalities such as poet Gurbhajan Gill, MP Meet Hayer, PAU vice chancellor Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, lyricist Bunty Bains, minister Hardeep Singh Mundian, singers Pammi Bai, Preet Harpal, journalists Baljit Balli, Deepak Chanarthal, and actor-singer Gippy Grewal further underscored Dr. Bhalla's multifaceted connections and influence.
Family members, including his wife Satwant Kaur Bhalla and children Pardeep Kaur Bhalla, Pukhraj Bhalla, Babli Bhalla, Zeenu Bhalla, and Vikram Jassal, as well as extended families Sharma, Karir, Ajula, and Sarao, joined friends and well-wishers in prayer, united in mourning and remembrance.
The gathering highlighted Dr. Jaswinder Singh Bhalla's lasting legacy and impact across many domains, as community members and prominent leaders paid homage to his life and contributions.
