BSF seizes drone carrying commercial quantity heroin near Indo-Pak border
Ferozepur, December 10, 2025: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel successfully intercepted a drone carrying a consignment of narcotics near the international border in the Ferozepur sector.
During a routine search conducted by officials of the BSF Border Out Post (BOP) Jagdish, one drone was seized. A packet recovered from the drone was opened, revealing 380 grams of heroin (commercial quantity), including the weight of the packing material.
The BSF has registered a case against an unidentified individual for smuggling a commercial quantity of narcotics. The complaint was filed by Inspector Kuldip Singh, 155 BNB BSF BKP Jagdish. The charges have been registered under relevant Sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Aircraft Act.
Subsequent investigations are underway, led by Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhbir Singh. Authorities are focusing on tracing the links of individuals across the border and within the local area responsible for arranging and receiving these illegal consignments.
