Edu Dept holds competitions to promote adolescent awareness under NPEP/AEP
Ferozepur, August 25, 2026: Under the directions of the School Education Department, Punjab, district-level competitions in Role Play, Folk Dance and Red Ribbon Quiz were organized successfully under the National Population Education Project (NPEP) and Adolescent Education Programme (AEP).
The competitions were conducted under the guidance of District Education Officer (SE) Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer (SE) Dr. Satinder Singh.
Amit Anand, District Nodal Officer, NPEP/AEP, and Dinesh Chauhan, DRC, Upper Primary, played an important role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the competitions.
For fair and transparent evaluation, a panel comprising Principal Rupinder Kaur (GSSS Sher Khan), Ravi Inder Singh, State Awardee and SS Master, Government High School Sodhi Nagar, Gurwinder Singh, English Master, SMIS Sadhu Wala, and Parkash Singh, SPRS Rajji Wala, was constituted.
BRC Gurpreet Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Inderpal Singh, Vishal Gandhi, Kamal Wadhwa and Praveen Kumar also made significant contributions towards the smooth arrangements of the event.
In the declared results, Government Senior Secondary School Khushal Singh Wala secured first position in Role Play, Government High School Jhok Harihar stood second, while School of Eminence, Mamdot, secured third position.
In Folk Dance, Govt Sr Sec School Kassoana bagged first position, PM Shri Kanya Government Sr Sec. School, Makhu, secured second position, and Government Senior Secondary School Lumbriwala stood third.
In the Red Ribbon Quiz, Govt Sr Sec. School Mohan Ke Hithar secured first position, Govt Sr. Sec. School Bagge Ke Pippal stood second, while GSS Bare Ke l Bare Ke secured third position.
At the conclusion of the event, the winning teams were honoured with trophies and appreciation certificates. Participation certificates were also distributed to all participating students and the guide teachers who helped prepare them for the competitions.
