Flood Alert: Villages near Ghaggar river asked to evacuate

Patiala (Punjab), September 3, 2025: The district administration has issued an urgent flood warning for villages located near the Ghaggar River in Tehsil Rajpura (Ghanaur). Authorities have cautioned that a breach in the river embankment could occur at any time, putting nearby villages at serious risk.
Residents of the following villages have been advised to evacuate immediately and move to safer locations: Tepala, Rajgarh, Mahmudpur, Darwa, Sanjarpur, Nannehri, Raipur, Shamspur, Untsar, Jand Mangoli, Harpalan, Kami Khurd, Rampur, Sonta, Chamaru, Kapuri, Kamalpur, Lachhru Khurd, Sarala Kalan, Mahiduda, Sarala Khurd.
