Jalandhar (Punjab), May 18, 2026: Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) Chief Sandeep Kumar appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Jalandhar on Sunday in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation linked to major real estate projects in Mohali.
According to sources, Sandeep Kumar reached the ED office along with members of his staff carrying several official files and documents after being summoned by the agency for questioning.
The ED is reportedly investigating large-scale projects developed by Suntec City and Eldeco Estate Builders. During the probe, alleged procedural irregularities related to the granting of CLU (Change of Land Use) permissions have come under scrutiny.
Sources said ED officials are expected to question the GMADA chief regarding the basis on which CLU approvals were granted to the projects under investigation and whether the mandatory rules and procedures were properly followed during the approval process.
