Gurjit Singh promoted as Assistant Sub-Inspector

Faridkot (Punjab), August 28, 2026: Gurjit Singh, who has been serving in the Punjab Police Department, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
SSP Faridkot Gurbans Singh Bains (PPS) formally marked the promotion by pinning the new rank stars on Gurjit Singh’s uniform and congratulating him on taking up his new responsibilities.
Congratulating ASI Gurjit Singh, SSP Bains said that promotion in the Police Department is a recognition of an employee’s hard work, dedication and commitment to service. He expressed hope that Gurjit Singh would discharge his new responsibilities with honesty, dedication and professionalism and live up to the expectations of the department.
Gurjit Singh has served in the Police Department with dedication and sincerity, carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him during his service. His promotion is being seen as recognition of his commitment and professional conduct.
After his promotion, Gurjit Singh thanked his senior officers and colleagues and said he would continue to discharge every responsibility entrusted to him by the Punjab Police Department with complete honesty and dedication.
He said police service is not limited to maintaining law and order, but also involves creating a sense of security among the public, listening to their grievances and assisting those in need.
Gurjit Singh said that with the guidance of senior officers and cooperation from colleagues, he would strive to perform his new responsibilities more effectively. He also emphasised the importance of maintaining a polite, sensitive and responsible approach while dealing with the public.
