NCFE Financial Literacy Education Program held at SBSSU
Ferozepur, August 26, 2026: The Career Development Cell (CDC) of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, (SBSSU) organized a Financial Literacy Education Program in collaboration with the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), Under the visionary guidance and leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma. The initiative aimed to enhance financial awareness and equip students with practical skills for sound personal and professional financial decision-making.
The expert session was conducted by Company Secretary and a SEBI Smart Trainer, Ms. Yashika Aggarwal, with over seven years of professional expertise. She sensitized students on personal financial planning, disciplined investing, and corporate financial practices through an engaging, interactive format.
A substantial number of B.Com, BBA, and MBA students actively participated, resolving queries on wealth management and contemporary market dynamics. Prof. Raminder Pal Singh, Head of University Business School along with departmental faculty members, commended the CDC for providing students with essential industry-oriented exposure.
Prof. Arun Kumar Asati, Officiating Registrar, lauded the CDC team, noting that financial literacy is an indispensable life skill that prepares youths to become financially independent citizens. The event was coordinated and smoothly executed by Inderjeet Singh Gill (Coordinator, CDC) and Dr Kamal Khanna (Co-Coordinator, CDC).
