Students celebrate Mother’s Day with vibrant cultural performances
Ferozepur, May 9, 2026: Mother’s Day was celebrated with immense joy and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Junior to honour the unconditional love, care, and sacrifices made by mothers in shaping the lives of their children.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, especially mothers, whose presence added warmth and charm to the celebration. The programme was graced by distinguished guests including Prabha Bhaskar, Dolly Bhaskar, and Mahima Kapoor.
The celebration began with the presentation of floral bouquets to the guests, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting performed by the mothers of the students.
Students showcased a series of colourful cultural performances including welcome songs, dances, and special presentations dedicated to mothers. Through these performances, children expressed their love, gratitude, and respect for the endless support and affection of their mothers.
To make the occasion more memorable, several fun-filled games and activities were organised for the mothers, including a ramp walk, rope game, and Blindfolded Bindi competition, creating an atmosphere of excitement and laughter.
Such celebrations help strengthen the emotional bond between mothers and children while encouraging students to understand and value family relationships, respect, and moral values along with academic learning, said S.N Rudhra, Director.
