Admission portal training session conducted at GNDU

Amritsar, April 30, 2024: The Admission Portal Training Session was conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Punjab, the Directorate of Governance Reforms (DGR), Punjab, at Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Auditorium of the University. The session aimed to familiarize representatives from affiliated colleges with the upcoming academic session's admission portal for the year 2024-25.
Dr. Saroj Arora, Dean, of the College Development Council commenced the training session, extending a warm welcome to Punjab's officials and nodal officers from various colleges.
Dr. Arora underscored the pivotal role the admission portal plays in ensuring fair and streamlined admissions processes.
The session featured insights from key personnel including Mr. Sandeep from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Punjab, Mr. Tarunveer Singh, Technical Support from DGR, and Miss Naina Sharma, Manager of DGR, Punjab. They provided comprehensive information about the admission portal's functionalities and addressed queries from nodal officers.
Naina Sharma elucidated the online admission process through an engaging video presentation, encouraging interactive dialogue among college representatives to streamline the portal further.
Feedback regarding potential enhancements to the portal's efficiency was welcomed, with a commitment to promptly address technical challenges.
Dr. Arora reassured attendees that dedicated support channels, including a helpline (telephone no. 1100), were in place to assist with any issues encountered during the online admission process.
Concluding the session, Mr. Naresh Nandan, System Administrator from the Examination Branch, and Mr. Aman Arora, Superintendent, expressed gratitude to all participants and pledged the university's unwavering cooperation in resolving technical hurdles.
