Breaking: Jaipur-Chandigarh flight makes emergency landing after dual engine failure

Chandigarh, May 3, 2025: A major aviation mishap was narrowly averted on Saturday after a Jaipur-to-Chandigarh flight was forced to make an emergency landing following a mid-air failure of both its engines.
The incident caused panic among the 150 passengers and crew members on board.
The aircraft managed to land safely at Chandigarh Airport, where emergency protocols were immediately activated. All passengers were evacuated swiftly through emergency exits, and no injuries were reported.The aircraft has since been cordoned off for technical examination.
Officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have confirmed the engine failure and have ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.The aviation regulator has demanded a detailed report on the cause and sequence of events leading to the emergency.
“The safety of passengers is our top priority. A comprehensive inquiry has been initiated, and necessary action will follow based on the findings,” a DGCA spokesperson stated.
