Amritsar (Punjab), May 3, 2025: A wave of emotion swept through the home of Pradeep Singh in Amritsar as philanthropist and Dubai-based businessman Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi, patron of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, visited the family to offer condolences and support following the tragic death of their only son in a road accident in Dubai.
Dr. Oberoi, known for his humanitarian efforts, was visibly moved as he listened to the heart-wrenching cries of Pradeep’s grieving mother.
The 26-year-old Pradeep Singh had moved to Dubai just six months ago in search of better prospects but tragically lost his life on April 10 in a devastating fire triggered by a road accident.

Dr. Oberoi had worked closely with the Indian Embassy to complete formalities and ensured the safe return of Pradeep’s mortal remains to India.
Standing by the family in their time of sorrow, Dr. Oberoi presented a cheque of ₹2 lakh to assist with the upcoming wedding of Pradeep’s elder sister. In a heartfelt gesture of continued support, he also announced a monthly pension of ₹5,000 for Pradeep’s parents, recognizing the financial and emotional vacuum left by their son’s untimely demise.
"While no one can truly replace their loss, it is our human duty to stand with those in pain and support them in whatever way we can," said Dr. Oberoi, his voice heavy with emotion.
He was accompanied by Sukhjinder Singh Heer, Punjab President of the Trust; Manpreet Sandhu, District General Secretary; Navjit Singh Ghai, Sukhchain Singh Heer, Harjit Singh, and Ranjit Singh, among others.
