Chandigarh, May 11, 2025 – All schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab will resume normal operations from Monday, May 12, according to a statement issued by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
Taking to social media platform X, Bains confirmed that regular classes and examinations will be conducted as per the previously announced schedule. “We are very proud of the bravery of our soldiers,” he wrote while announcing the reopening.
The decision follows a temporary closure of educational institutions across the state due to the emergency situation triggered by heightened India-Pakistan tensions.
With the recent ceasefire agreement now in effect and the situation returning to normal, the Punjab government has deemed it safe to resume academic activities.
“The situation in the districts has now returned to normal after the ceasefire,” Bains noted, assuring students and parents that there is no further cause for concern.
