BJP Punjab to launch 'Save Land, Save Farmers' yatra against Land Pooling Scheme

Chandigarh, August 6, 2025: Further intensifying the war launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab against the farmer-killing land pooling scheme brought by the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab, the party will now take out a "Save Land, Save Farmers" yatra from August 17 to September 5, 2025, under the leadership of state executive president Ashwani Sharma, said BJP state vice president Kewal Singh Dhillon, who was holding a press conference at the BJP Punjab headquarters today in the presence of state general secretary Anil Sarin, Rakesh Rathore, Dayal Singh Sodhi, BJP spokesperson Pritpal Singh Balliyewal, BJP Punjab state media head Vineet Joshi.
Dhillon said that during this yatra, the BJP will go from village to village in Punjab and mobilize the farmers against this scheme and will also stand shoulder to shoulder with the farmers who are already aware and struggling.
This yatra, which will start from Patiala on August 17, will pass through the villages of Malwa, Majha, and Doaba affected by land pooling and will conclude in Pathankot on September 5.
BJP leaders said that the Bhagwant Mann government has launched a major attack on farmers' lands.The government wants to give farmers' lands to the land mafia through a land pooling scheme, which is not acceptable under any circumstances.
He said, "BJP stands with the farmers like a rock, no coercion or bullying will be allowed." Until the Bhagwant Mann government withdraws its land pooling announcement, the BJP will struggle with the farmers at every level.
