SGPC President Dhami visits ailing mother of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, urges Govt to grant parole
Strongly condemns the injustice being done by governments to the imprisoned Sikhs

Amritsar (Punjab), September 26, 2025: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, visited the ailing mother of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who has been under detention in jail for a long time, and inquired about her condition. Advocate Dhami expressed concern about the mother's health and prayed to Guru Sahib for her recovery.
On this occasion, Advocate Dhami said that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara is a warrior of the Sikh community, who has played an important role at the Panthic level through his personality and struggle.

Advocate Dhami said that the governments are doing great injustice to Bhai Hawara and other imprisoned Sikhs and they are being deprived of their legal and constitutional rights.
He said that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara should be given parole to meet his ailing mother. He said that on one hand, Ram Rahim, who is facing serious charges, is being repeatedly granted parole and furlough, while on the other hand, imprisoned Sikhs are not even allowed to meet their families in times of grief.
Advocate Dhami said that the injustice done to the imprisoned Sikhs is a clear violation of human rights. He appealed to the Government of India to grant Bhai Hawara immediate parole so that he can meet his ailing mother.
He also said that the SGPC will continue to raise its voice for the release of Sikh prisoners. He also appealed to the Sikh community to continue their efforts unitedly for the release of the imprisoned Sikhs.
On this occasion, along with President Advocate Dhami, many Panthic personalities were also present who expressed their sympathy with the family and prayed for the recovery of the ailing mother.
