IPS suicide case: Family refuses to cremate body, wife writes letter to SSP demanding amendments in FIR

Chandigarh, October 10, 2025: In case of suicide by IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, family of the deceased is not satisfied with FIR registered against Haryana DGP and SP Rohtak.
His wife Amneet P Kumar IAS has written a letter to SSP Chandigarh demanding amendments in the FIR. In the letter she said that name of the accused Shurtrujeet Singh Kapoor and Narendra Bijarnia should be added in column no 7 of the FIR where name of accused are writeen. She has also demanded that relevant sections of the SC/ST Act should also be added in the FIR. She has also demanded certified copies of 'Final Note' drafted by the deceased before committing suicide. She has claimed that she has not got copy of 'Final Note' till date.
