Bibi Jagir Kaur receives grand welcome from Sikh community on arrival in Italy

Brescia (Italy), October 11, 2025: Former SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur, a prominent Sikh leader, and Sant Baba Prem Singh Ji Murale Wale, were accorded a warm welcome upon their arrival at Gurdwara Sahib Flero in Brescia, Italy.
Bibi Jagir Kaur recently was on a personal visit to Germany and Italy, during which she met Punjab origin people across various countries and visited Gurdwaras.
After visiting Germany, Bibi Jagir Kaur and Sant Baba Prem Singh arrived at Flero Gurdwara Sahib on Sunday, where members of the Gurdwara management committee and devotees extended them a heartfelt reception.

Among those present to welcome them were Surinderjit Singh Pandori (Chief Sewadar, Gurdwara Management Committee), Balkar Singh Ghodeshahan (Vice President), Sharanjit Singh Thakri (Secretary), Lakhwinder Singh Bergamo (President, Sant Baba Prem Singh Memorial Committee, Flero Brescia), Kulwant Singh Bassi, Nishan Singh Bhadas, Swarn Singh Lalowal, Bhupinder Singh Rawali, Mahinder Singh Majra, Amrik Singh Chauhananwale, Sukhwinder Singh Noor Puri, members of the Langar Sewadar team, and representatives of the Flero Youth Sabha, along with many devotees from across Italy.
Addressing the congregation from the Gurdwara stage, Bibi Jagir Kaur thanked the sangat for their warm hospitality and extended greetings on the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ramdas Sahib Ji. She urged the devotees to stay connected with the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the eternal light of the ten Gurus, and encouraged the youth to embrace Amrit and strengthen their spiritual bond with the Guru.

Expressing joy over meeting Sikh families settled in Europe, Bibi Jagir Kaur said that a “beautiful spiritual garden” of Sant Baba Prem Singh Ji’s followers has blossomed across Europe. She appreciated that devotees abroad continue to remember Baba Ji with deep devotion, celebrating his birth anniversary and barsi (death anniversary) each year with unity and enthusiasm.
Bibi Jagir Kaur also lauded the dedication of the Sikh diaspora, noting that many manage to balance their professional lives abroad with active service at the Gurdwaras. She congratulated the management for the construction of the new Gurdwara Sahib building in Flero, describing it as a symbol of faith, unity, and community progress.
