Four Vande Bharat Express Trains Flagged Off Virtually by PM Modi; Ferozepur Celebrates Launch of Ferozepur–Delhi Service
Ferozepur, November 8, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains on Saturday, from Varanasi, strengthening rail connectivity between key cultural and commercial centers. The newly launched trains include Varanasi–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, Ferozepur–Delhi, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru routes.
In Ferozepur, the launch event was marked with enthusiastic participation at the local railway station, where Union Minister of State Ravinder Singh Bittu and senior BJP leader Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, former Minister, attended the ceremony. A large number of residents, businessmen, students and representatives from various walks of life gathered to witness the occasion.
Political leaders, workers, residents and business communities in Ferozepur expressed happiness over the development, calling it a timely step that will boost trade, tourism, education and employment opportunities in the region.
Speaking at the event, officials said that the introduction of the Ferozepur–Delhi Vande Bharat will significantly benefit daily commuters, traders, students and travelers requiring fast and comfortable transportation. The new train aims to reduce travel time, improve passenger convenience, and enhance regional connectivity with a modern travel experience.
The launch of the four Vande Bharat trains is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize railway infrastructure and offer faster, safer and more efficient travel options across India.
Union Minister of State Ravinder Singh Bittu said, various projects are likely to be launched in the coming time and let the state government cooperate with the Centre.
