MP Satnam Singh Sandhu Hails Home Minister’s Visit to Punjab; Calls His Address a Vision for a Drug-Free and Developed Punjab
Moga, 14 March 2026- Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu welcomed the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Punjab and described his address as a strong vision for a “New Punjab” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the Home Minister remembering the supreme sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus and extending greetings on the Nanakshahi New Year reflects his deep respect for the Sikh community.
Sandhu said the Home Minister’s address highlights the Central Government’s commitment to restoring peace, security, and development in Punjab. He noted that key issues such as the fight against drugs, strengthening border security, promoting industrial growth, and creating employment opportunities for youth were strongly emphasized.
Referring to the drug menace, Sandhu said the Home Minister’s firm stand sends a clear message of zero tolerance against drug trafficking and offers hope to families affected by the crisis.
He also appreciated the focus on curbing cross-border smuggling and strengthening security along the border, which is crucial for Punjab.
Sandhu added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Centre has consistently focused on infrastructure, investment, agriculture, and healthcare. He said the growing support for the BJP’s vision reflects the people’s desire for development and good governance, adding that the day is not far when the BJP will form the government in Punjab and lead the state towards a new era of progress.
