New Delhi, November 19, 2025: Anmol Bishnoi, brother and key aide of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been brought back to India after being deported from the United States. He arrived at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday morning.
As soon as he landed, a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took him into custody. Officials said he will be produced in the Patiala House Court later in the day.
Anmol was wanted in multiple high-profile cases, including the murders of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and NCP leader Baba Siddique.
The US Department of Homeland Security decided to deport him on November 18 after rejecting his asylum plea. He was flown to India under heavy security.
Anmol is accused of playing a central role in several major conspiracies. According to Punjab Police, he was one of the masterminds of the Sidhu Moosewala murder in May 2022, a plot allegedly orchestrated from Tihar Jail by Lawrence Bishnoi and executed with the help of Sachin and Goldy Brar. After the killing, Anmol fled abroad on a fake passport.
His name also surfaced in the April 2024 firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence and the October 2024 murder of Baba Siddique in Mumbai.
The NIA had listed him among its “most wanted” individuals and announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to his arrest.
