‘Student Science Village’ to be hosted at Panjab University; Check dates

Chandigarh, November 19, 2025: Panjab University will host the ‘Student Science Village’ programme from December 6 to 9, 2025, as part of the India International Science Festival (IISF–2025).
The initiative, organised by the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the India Meteorological Department, aims to spark scientific curiosity among students and promote modern scientific thinking.
According to an official spokesperson, the Director General of the Science and Technology Department and the Department of Higher Education, Haryana, has been appointed as the nodal officer for the event.
A total of 35 students from Classes 8 to 11 and five teachers from each district of Haryana will participate. Dedicated buses will be arranged to transport participants to and from Panjab University throughout the programme.
The spokesperson added that special transport arrangements will also be made to ensure the daily participation of nearly 2,000 students from Panchkula and nearby regions.
To ensure smooth coordination, detailed programme information has been shared with the Higher Education Department, School Education Department, Transport and Tourism departments, Hospitality Department, and the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula. All departments have been asked to extend full support for the successful organisation of the event.
