Lions Club Ferozepur Installs New President Lion Gursaab Singh Mal for 2025-26
Ferozepur, December 4, 2025: Lion Gursaab Singh Mal was formally installed as President of Lions Club Ferozepur along with his new team for the Lions Year 2025-26 during a simple yet impressive ceremony held in the city.
The installation function was presided over by District Governor, District 321-F, PMJF Lion Amrit Pal Singh Jhandu as Chief Guest. He was accompanied by VDG-1 Lion Ajay Goyal, VDG-2 Lion Naresh Goyal, Past District Governor Lion Yogesh Soni, and District Cabinet Secretary Lion Sanjeev Sood, who graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
The oath of office was administered by VDG-1 Lion Ajay Goyal in an engaging and conversational style. While installing each board member, he emphasized their specific responsibilities, with special focus on timely reporting of all activities on the Lions International online portal for proper monitoring and year-end evaluation.
Several senior Lions leaders, including Regional Chairman Lion Advocate Aashish Sharma, Zone Chairman Lion Advocate Gurmeet Singh Sandhu, Treasurer Lion Iqbal Chugh, and PRO Lion Rajesh Malhotra, were present. Lion MJF Ashwan Sharma, Deputy District Governor (Vision), efficiently anchored the programme as Master of Ceremony.
Outgoing Secretary Lion Pawan J. Giddeon presented a detailed report highlighting the club’s major activities during the previous year, including tree plantation drives, medical camps, poster competitions, and blood donation camps.
Lion Harish Monga introduced Chief Guest District Governor Lion Amrit Pal Singh Jhandu and spoke about his remarkable Lions journey. In his address, the District Governor stressed that serving the needy is the greatest form of service. He urged members to actively involve non-Lions in projects to motivate them and eventually induct them into the club.
Outgoing President Lion Advocate Gurmeet Singh Sandhu handed over the Symbol of Authority to the newly elected President, Lion Gursaab Singh Mal, an advocate by profession, and extended warm congratulations to him and his entire team.
In his acceptance speech, newly installed President Lion Gursaab Singh Mal expressed gratitude to the District Governor, dignitaries, club members, and their families for gracing the occasion. He pledged to organize even more service projects for the underprivileged during his tenure, staying true to the Lions International motto – “We Serve”.
Notably, Lions Club Ferozepur is celebrating 51 years since its chartering in 1974, and charter member Lion S.P. Khera remains the only active founding member of the club.
