Chandigarh, December 6, 2025: To honour the unparalleled bravery and sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas—Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji—the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will organise a three-day educational program across all schools in the state, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced on Saturday.
From December 22 to 24, 2025, government, private and aided schools will conduct a specially curated module on the life and martyrdom of the Sahibzadas. The initiative includes a 15-minute session during daily morning assemblies to help students connect with Sikh history and its timeless values.
Bains directed PSEB officials to ensure that all educational material is prepared with utmost care and vetted by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to maintain historical accuracy, authenticity and reverence.
The sessions will cover key events from Sikh history, including the departure of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji from Qila Anandgarh Sahib and the circumstances leading to the Saka Sirhind. The Education Minister said the initiative aims to immerse students in Punjab’s rich heritage and the valour of Sikh warriors.
In addition, the PSEB headquarters will host daily spiritual and historical discourses, along with evening Kirtan Darbars from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring performances by school students between December 22 and 24. These events are intended to build an emotional bond with Punjab’s legacy and honour the supreme sacrifices made for righteousness.
Emphasising the significance of the initiative, Bains said, “True education goes beyond textbooks—it builds character and connects our future generations with the roots of unparalleled sacrifice that define our land. This three-day educational program is a tribute to the Sahibzadas and a step towards instilling the values of courage, resilience and righteousness in every student of Punjab.”
