CGC University Mohali honours World Cup Gold Medalist Boxer Nupur with Rs 10 lakh cash award

Mohali (Punjab), December 28, 2025: CGC University Mohali, a leader in education and sports, celebrated the extraordinary achievement of its Brand Ambassador and World Cup Gold Medalist boxer, Nupur, by honoring her with a cash prize of ₹10 Lakh. Nupur brought laurels to the University and the nation by winning the Gold Medal at the World Cup held from November 16 to 20, 2025, in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
This international event was organized by the Boxing Federation of India in association with World Boxing, featuring over 130 elite athletes from 18 countries.
During a special felicitation ceremony held at the University, Hon'ble Founder Chancellor Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal (Father of Education) and Managing Director Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal presented the check of ₹10 Lakh to Nupur.
The event was also attended by Dr. Sushil Parashar (Executive Director), Satish K. Sarhadi (Senior Sports Director), and Lovejeet Mann (Head of Sports).
Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal stated that The primary objective of CGC University Mohali is not just academic excellence but to nurture world-class champions. Nupur’s global achievement reflects our university's core values of producing leaders who make the nation proud."
