In a statement, Grewal said the day would be remembered as a milestone in the BJP’s journey, adding that Nitin Nabin’s leadership marks “not just a transition, but the beginning of a new era of strength, vision, discipline and dedication to the nation.”
Congratulating Nabin, Grewal said he represents the BJP’s grassroots tradition, having risen as a committed karyakarta and proven himself through years of organisational and administrative work.
He highlighted Nabin’s political experience, mentioning his tenure as a five-time MLA, his role as a minister in the Bihar government, and his contributions in key organisational responsibilities, including as General Secretary of the National Yuva Morcha and as in-charge of various states.
Grewal also referred to the felicitation ceremony held at the BJP central office in New Delhi, where he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present, calling it a proud moment for party workers. He further praised the address delivered by former BJP National President and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, stating that it reflected the party’s ideology and continuity.
He said Nadda described the moment as historic and expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and Nabin’s presidency, the BJP would continue to accelerate its mission of development, governance and inclusive growth.
Highlighting BJP’s electoral performance since 2014, Grewal said repeated victories across states reflect the strong faith of the people in the party’s leadership.
He mentioned major wins including the party’s return in Delhi after 27 years and strong performances in Bihar, Maharashtra and other regions.
Expressing optimism about the future, Grewal said he believes the BJP will further strengthen its presence in states such as West Bengal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Kerala, adding that Nabin’s leadership will energise and unite party workers.
He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “constant guidance and vision,” stating that the Prime Minister continues to nurture the organisation despite national responsibilities.
Grewal concluded by saying that the new leadership has filled BJP workers with renewed confidence and determination, and that the party will continue its journey of service, sacrifice and nation-building under the combined leadership of Prime Minister Modi and BJP National President Nitin Nabin.
