  Chandigarh, February 12, 2026: Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday said that if former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh wishes to return to the Congress, the party will consider it.
  
  Baghel clarified that the final decision will be taken by the party high command. He also acknowledged Captain Amarinder Singh as a senior leader whose contribution to Punjab politics cannot be denied.
