New Delhi, February 12, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday intensified its attack on Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, alleging that he held multiple personal meetings with Jeffrey Epstein and misrepresented them as official delegation interactions.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, AAP National Media In-Charge Anurag Dhanda claimed that documentary evidence released by the US judicial system shows Puri met Epstein several times between 2014 and 2017 in a personal capacity, not as part of any official delegation.
Dhanda alleged that the meetings took place after the formation of the Modi Government and said email exchanges indicate that Puri responded promptly to invitations and scheduling changes for meetings at Epstein’s residence in New York.
He questioned the nature of discussions held during these meetings and asked whether any political or governmental matters were involved.
The AAP leader further raised questions about Puri’s appointment as Union Minister in 2017, asking whether there was any connection between his meetings with Epstein and his induction into the Cabinet. He demanded that Puri immediately resign from his ministerial post, failing which the Modi Government should remove him.
Dhanda also called for a thorough investigation by Indian agencies into the alleged meetings and sought full public disclosure of all related documents. He questioned whether any communications took place between Epstein and the Prime Minister’s Office, stating that the matter warrants transparency and accountability.
The BJP has not yet issued a detailed response to the allegations made by AAP.
