Announcing substantial incentives, Badal said the village that emerges as district champion will receive ₹10 lakh as a development grant. The village that secures the top position across Punjab will be awarded ₹1 crore for development works.
Speaking in a light-hearted tone, Badal remarked that he often observes groups of elderly men playing cards in village saths and learned that the popular game among them is Seep.
He said the championship would formalize these informal gatherings into structured village-level competitions.
