Sarbat Da Bhala Trust inaugurates new Lab and Diagnostic Centre in Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab), March 7, 2026: In a significant boost to affordable healthcare services, the Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust today inaugurated the “Sunny Oberoi Clinical Lab and Diagnostic Centre” at Maharaja Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Hall in East Mohan Nagar, Amritsar. The facility was inaugurated by Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi, Dubai-based philanthropist and head of the Trust, who funds humanitarian initiatives from his personal resources.
The laboratory, opened with support from Bhai Bandi (Regd.) Ramgarhia, is dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Sukhjinder Singh Heir, Punjab President of the Trust, was also present at the event.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Oberoi highlighted the Trust’s social initiatives across Punjab and other states.
“This laboratory will provide tests at very low cost and greatly benefit people from Amritsar and nearby villages,” he said.
He added that the Trust has set a target of establishing 200 laboratories, of which over 150 labs are already operational in Punjab, Haryana, and other states. Over 2.7 million people received tests at these labs last year at cost price.
Dr. Oberoi further announced plans to open a modern dental clinic and a physiotherapy centre at the same location based on community needs. He also appreciated the support of Manjit Singh Saund, President of Bhai Bandi, and Sukhwinder Singh Ghatore, Secretary, along with their teams.
The inauguration ceremony included honours for Dr. Oberoi and his team by Bhai Bandi, All India Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Federation, Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Federation, and Bhen Bandi. Key Trust members present included Manpreet Sandhu, Navjit Singh Ghai, Manpreet Singh Kamboj, Pritam Singh Kalsi, Amardeep Singh Rajewal, Nanak Singh Kesri, and several others.
