CGC University Mohali celebrates International Women’s Day with ‘Prerna 2.0’ conclave

Mohali (Punjab), March 8, 2026: The Business Incubator Association ‘VentureNest’ of CGC University Mohali organized a grand event, ‘Prerna 2.0’, to mark International Women’s Day.
The conclave was dedicated to celebrating the strength, leadership, and transformative achievements of women across various sectors, providing a common platform for inspiring leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators.
Hon'ble Justice Rajesh Bindal graced the prestigious occasion as the Chief Guest. The event also saw participation from several eminent personalities as Guests of Honor, including Dr. Dapinder Kaur Bakshi (Joint Director, PSCST), Punjabi actress VJ Aman, Dr. Nancy Juneja (CEO, MentorX Global), Deepali Gulati (National President, WICCI), Bharti Sood (Sr. Regional Director, PHD Chamber), Pooja Nayar (TiE Chandigarh), Sakshi Katyal (CII-IWN), and Mona Singh (FICCI FLO).
During the sessions, women-led startups pitched their innovative ideas to experts and investors. Discussions were held on themes like ‘Boardrooms to Breakthroughs’ and ‘Women’s Growth through Policy and Capital.’
To showcase the rising role of women in tech, an ‘AI Shakti Bootcamp’ and an exhibition of AI projects were organized. Additionally, a special fashion show artistically portrayed stories of female identity, confidence, and struggle.
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Founder Chancellor of CGC University, stated in his message, "Our goal is to create an environment where women can showcase their talent without barriers. Prerna 2.0 is a testament to our commitment to empowering women and integrating them into mainstream entrepreneurship."
Executive Director Arsh Dhaliwal added, "It is vital for women to lead in the fields of technology and AI. Initiatives like the AI Shakti Bootcamp will help women become pioneers in the digital age."
