Chandigarh, March 13, 2026: Political attention is focused on Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s maiden ‘Badlaav Rally’ scheduled to be held on March 14 at Killi Chahlan village in Moga, an event seen as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s attempt to kick-start its campaign for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
The rally, spread across nearly 83 acres, is being projected as a major show of strength with large arrangements for a pandal, parking and langar for supporters expected to attend from across the state.
Carrying the slogan “Aao miljul ke badliye Punjab; sukhi rahe saada Punjab,” the gathering comes at a time when the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is approaching its fourth year in power.
Senior BJP leaders, including state president Sunil Jakhar and working president Ashwani Sharma, have been supervising preparations and mobilising party workers across all 117 Assembly constituencies to ensure a large turnout.
