‘Change Is in the Air’: Sukhbir Badal claims massive response to SAD’s ‘Punjab Bachao’ rally in Fatehgarh Churian

Fatehgarh Churian (Punjab), March 13, 2026: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Friday held a ‘Punjab Bachao’ rally in Fatehgarh Churian, with party president Sukhbir Singh Badal claiming that the event received a massive response from the public.
In a statement posted on social media, Badal said the “SAD juggernaut reached Fatehgarh Churian” and alleged that large numbers of people turned up at the rally to express solidarity with the party and its pro-farmer and pro-poor policies.
He asserted that the enthusiastic turnout reflected growing public support for the Akali Dal and signalled political change in the state.
“Change is not only in the air but is about to happen also,” Badal said, thanking party leaders and workers for organising the event successfully.
The SAD president also expressed gratitude to senior party leader Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal and his team for arranging the rally and mobilising supporters in the constituency.
