Chandigarh: Young man shot dead outside gym

Chandigarh, March 18, 2026: In a shocking daylight incident in one of Chandigarh’s most secure neighborhoods, a young man was shot dead outside a gym in Sector-9 today. According to police sources, the victim was targeted by unidentified assailants as he was exiting the gym after his workout.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers, lying in wait, opened fire on the young man, hitting him multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Senior police officials rushed to the location immediately after the shooting. The area has been cordoned off, and forensic teams are collecting evidence. CCTV footage from around the gym is being scrutinized to identify the perpetrators.
