Ferozepur Railway Division posts 53% increase in tractor loading, touches 29 rakes
Ferozepur, March 18, 2026: Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar, the Business Development Unit (BDU) of Ferozepur Division has achieved another significant milestone through its sustained efforts to boost freight traffic.
Owing to regular meetings and better coordination with various stakeholders, Ferozepur Division recorded the loading of 29 tractor rakes in February 2026. This marks an increase of nearly 53 per cent compared to 19 rakes loaded during the corresponding period last year.
The rise in loading has not only strengthened the division’s freight movement but has also contributed to higher railway revenue. Railway officials said the availability of economical, timely and door-to-door services has helped build greater confidence among traders and customers.
The achievement reflects the efficient working, close coordination and customer-friendly services being provided by Ferozepur Division. The division, officials added, remains committed to promoting freight transportation and extending better facilities and services to its customers.
