Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Chandigarh celebrates 68th annual prize distribution function, honors 500 students

Chandigarh, April 1, 2026:Post Graduate Government College for Girls Sector 11 Chandigarh celebrated its 68th Annual Prize Distribution Function with enthusiasm, recognising outstanding student achievements across academics, co-curricular and extracurricular fields.
The event was graced by Justice Nidhi Gupta, an alumna of the college and judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, who attended as the Chief Guest.

Principal Anita Kaushal presented the annual report, highlighting the institution’s accomplishments at university, national and international levels. Among the key achievements, the college secured the Overall Trophy for the 11th consecutive year at the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival.
It also earned a four-star rating for its Institution Innovation Council from the Ministry of Education and received the Best Institute (Senior Wing) award for NCC activities.

The college was further recognised for its initiatives in environmental conservation, sustainable development and the “Eat Right Campus” programme.
Around 500 trophies and awards were distributed to meritorious students during the functionj. Addressing the gathering, Justice Gupta fondly recalled her time at the college and appreciated the faculty and students for sustaining excellence across diverse fields.


Special memorial scholarships, including the Mrs. Pushpa Ojha Award for all-round best students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, were also presented on the occasion.
