Chandigarh, May 9, 2026: New anti-sacrilege law in Punjab has left devotees with scriptures at home in a bind and a large number of devotees have started depositing ‘Gutka Sahib’ with Gurdwara Sahib. In Sangrur district, representatives from seven gurdwaras in Sunam gathered at Gurdwara Nankiana Sahib on Friday to collectively deposit 452 Gutka Sahibs (prayer books) and Pothis (hymn books) surrendered by residents.
