Tamil Nadu Cadre IAS Officer Shifted to Punjab Cadre by Union Government

New Delhi, May 14, 2026: The Central Government has approved the transfer of Sunder Lal from the Tamil Nadu cadre to the Punjab cadre of the Indian Administrative Service.
The cadre change has been approved under Rule 5(2) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, with the concurrence of the Governments of Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
According to the official order, Shri Sunder Lal, a 2008-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been shifted to the Punjab cadre under the Physically Handicapped (PH) policy dated February 14, 2014.
