Ferozepur Rail Division operating 8 pairs of summer special trains for passenger convenience
Ferozepur, May 21, 2026:: To facilitate rail passengers during the summer season, the Ferozepur Division of Northern Railway is operating 8 pairs of Summer Special trains. The initiative has been undertaken to manage the increased rush of passengers during summer vacations and provide confirmed seats to travellers facing long waiting lists in regular trains.
Railway authorities stated that due to the heavy increase in passenger traffic during the holiday season, regular trains often witness waiting lists. Keeping passenger convenience in view, the Railway has introduced special trains to ensure smooth, comfortable, and hassle-free travel. Officials are continuously monitoring passenger occupancy and demand in trains to provide better travel facilities and minimize inconvenience to passengers.
The operation of Summer Special trains has brought significant relief to passengers waiting confirmed reservations. At present, 08 pairs of special trains are being operated under the Ferozepur Division, including Amritsar–Katihar (05736/05735), New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (04081/04082), Amritsar–Barauni (04610/04609), Pathankot–Chhapra (05193/05194), Amritsar–Kolkata (04624/04623), Ferozepur Cantt–Jhanjharpur (04620/04619), Ferozepur Cantt–Patna (04616/04615), and Amritsar–Jaynagar (04651/04652).
