Amritsar (Punjab), July 20, 2026: Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) leader and Desh Bachao Morcha coordinator Sarwan Singh Pandher on Monday announced that he, along with farmers, will leave for Delhi to participate in a one-day protest rally against the proposed India-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The rally, organised by the Desh Bachao Morcha, is scheduled to be held at Kisan Ghat in Delhi on July 21.
Addressing the media before departing, Pandher alleged that the Centre has failed to consult stakeholders, including farmers, on the proposed trade pact.
"Desh Bachao Morcha has called for a one-day rally on July 21 at Kisan Ghat. We are leaving for Delhi because the government has never spoken to any stakeholders regarding the India-US FTA. The agreement is being negotiated in secrecy, and the government has not shared any details with us. Whatever information we receive comes through press releases from the US side," he said.
Pandher said the protesters would urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to disclose the details of the proposed agreement and explain its likely impact on farmers and other sections of society.
He further claimed that people from Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand would also participate in the protest, making it a multi-state demonstration against the proposed trade deal.
