Man dies in custody of ICE, third death in immigration detention Centre in New Jersey: Jaspreet Attorney

New Jersey, August 18, 2026: A detainee has died in custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at immigration dentention centre in New Jersey. This has been disclosed by Jaspreet Singh Attorney. In a video message he disclosed that this is third such death in this detention centre. Detainee belonged go Gutemala. He was suffering from a medical condition and was rushed to hospitle for treatment but he could not survive. He said that these detention centres have always remained in controvery for lack of human needed facilities. He said that though the government has claimed that it was not responsible for the death but human right groups have alleged that he died because of lack of treatment facilities. He said that courts have also raised the issue of lack of faclities.
